For the first time ever, MYOpera is hosting hosting a two-day-long Performance Intensive for advanced emerging artists. From February 16-17, 2018, six of Canada’s most promising young artists will work intensively with Music Director Natasha Fransblow, Stage Director Anna Theodosakis, and guest experts Philip Morehead, Alison Jane Taylor, and Ausar Stweart.
This intensive will focus on honing singers’ performance skills, from the nuanced interpretation of score markings, to authenticity in their dramatic presentation, to finding their physical centre while under the stress of performance. Each singer will work on an aria and 3-4 ensemble pieces.
